How we operate
We operate on the basis of the following principles:
Needy and deserving children who go to school in India are selected by teachers, volunteers, trust coordinators or local contacts.
Selection is done irrespective of religion, cast, ethnicity, or handicap.
Funds collected and deposited in our bank account held in the name of Jeevan Asha Charitable Trust, UK.
Money is sent to the
school authorities in the form of draft / cheque for the sponsored children.
A letter from the school is sent to the sponsor, giving full details of the child,
including a photograph and progress report.
Whenever possible, trustees interview individual children while visiting India.
